Ferretti Yachts 881, the new flagship

Ferretti Yachts presented in a world premiere at the Cannes Festival International de la Plaisance the new Ferretti 881, that with its 88 feet (27 metres) becomes the new flagship of the Ferretti fleet. This new model comes from the FY880 project, that has been further enriched in spaces, thanks to a completely new interiors design.
As result of the close collaboration between Studio Zuccon International Project and Ferretti Group Engineering Division, the new 881 has all the distinctive features that made of the Italian shipyard an icon of the Made in Italy luxury worldwide.


Two large open-view windows on both sides turn the master cabin into an incomparable suite in terms of spaces and luminosity. Located wide in the central part of the hull, the master cabin is oriented opposite to the direction of navigation, and allows the shipowner to enjoy a unique view of the sea while lying down on the bed or in the Jacuzzi. The large bath area, with a double access from the two bathrooms and separated by a sliding door, include both a Jacuzzi and a comfortable shower with sliding box. The floor is made of opened-pore teak wood and marble. The 881 master cabin includes also a walk-in wardrobe and a vanity located near an L shape sofa and a bench. The audio/video equipment, with a CD/DVD hi-fi system and a 20 inches LCD monitor, ensures a complete relax during the navigation.


Lower deck, 4 cabins can host up to 8 people. In addition to the master cabin, there are two twin bed cabins with private bathrooms. The VIP cabin is towards stem and it is very wide, with two fixed armchairs at both sides of the bed and a private bathroom with a marble and teak floored shower.


In the large 881's cockpit there is a teak wood table with 8 seats and two sofas, inserted into the spoiler: here, an ice-maker gives the opportunity to have a drink in total relax even in the hottest hours. Entering from the cockpit in the large living area the guests are involved in a unique atmosphere: the right side of the living is composed by a table with two wide leather sofas and a Frau armchair. In the opposite side a 32 inches plasma TV could can be easily watched both from the living and from the dining table that can host up to 8 people. Two steps split the living area from the day-bathroom and from the access to the lower deck stairs.


The kitchen, designed on the left side of the hull, has two large working plans thanks to an additional marble support that could be useful also for preparing light snacks. An electric door allows the crew to reach the external corridor and to enter in the kitchen or in the pilot house without disturbing the guests in the living area. In the pilot house, all the controls are in a head-on position, very clear to watch and very easy to handle from the pilot seat. On its right, a L shaped sofa with a table allows the guests to share the navigation with the pilot.


The new 881 has a very large flying bridge with the plus of an outdoor Jacuzzi. Large sundecks and comfortable sofas turn this area into an ideal environment for sharing with the guests unforgettable moments. The bar furniture builds in the sink, the refrigerator, the burner and the grill while a L shape sofa for dining on a comfortable and large table.


About the outdoor areas, a large sundeck is located at bow while aft a garage with an hydraulic opening, wide enough to store a jet ski, becomes a spacious diving platform. The jet ski and the tender are located on the flying bridge where an hydraulic crane lifts and lowers them in the water.


The cockpit leads also to the engine-room and to the crew area that are supplied with a kitchen, a private dinette and two comfortable cabins, each one provided with a wardrobe and a bathroom with shower.


Concerning the performances, the new Ferretti 881 comes out with 2 2030hp MTU engines. The cruise speed is 27 knots while the maximum speed is 31 knots.
