The fifth Pershing 140 high-performance aluminium superyacht entered the water last May 9 at the Superyacht Yard in Ancona.
With two main decks and a spacious sundeck, the yacht's distinctive sleek silhouette and flowing lines perfectly embody the brand’s sporting spirit. The model's signature features – such as the two large side wings incorporated into the superstructure at the start of the walkways – are pointed up by the hull’s eye-catching custom colour. Unlike the previous aluminium grey units, this boat is painted brilliant white at the owner’s request, a choice echoed in the interiors, which are characterised by refined pale shades that highlight the boat’s overall elegance.
The layout has been revisited to meet the owner’s needs, not least in the aft beach area, where the space typically used as a garage becomes a unique social area, featuring a fully equipped central bar instead of the usual tender and water toys. Taking the steps up towards the cockpit leads to a first lounge area, furnished with sofas and freestanding armchairs facing the generous sun pad. Up a few more steps, a second secluded area is designed for al fresco dining: spacious and airy thanks to the side openings with glass panels, it features an extremely elegant table seating up to 10 guests and decorated with abstract designs.
The glass door between the cockpit and the open space on the main deck leads directly into the dining area, which is dominated by a circular table that seats up to eight and has a bar unit next to it on the starboard side. Next, the light-filled lounge is furnished with a sofa and four freestanding armchairs facing the TV. Continuing towards the bow, after passing the lobby leading to the guest cabins, the full-beam master suite is personalised with an L-shaped sofa and additional storage space in place of the vanity desk.
Also located on the main deck, the raised pilot house is connected to the sun deck, which is also personalised in a beige and white colour scheme aligned with the mood of the boat as a whole.
The lower deck is split into four guest cabins, all with en-suite bathrooms and showers, and all decorated in a palette of soft colours. Pullman beds have been fitted at the owner’s request to increase guest capacity: two cabins can accommodate up to three people each, while the two VIP cabins feature double beds, one of which can be converted into two singles.
The yacht also features additional areas for relaxing and socialising on the upper deck and in the bow. The sundeck is designed as a large panoramic terrace featuring a bar, comfy sofas with pouffes and the second helm station, which is fitted with three pilot chairs that offer an al fresco driving experience. The spacious areas in the bow, reached via the side walkways, include a lounge area complete with a Jacuzzi and a generous sunbathing area.
The result of collaboration between architect Fulvio De Simoni, Ferretti Group’s Strategic Product Committee led by Piero Ferrari, and the Group Engineering Department, Pershing 140 was built at the Superyacht Yard in Ancona, Ferretti Group’s cutting-edge shipyard specialising in the construction of steel and aluminium super and mega yachts over 40 metres in length.
From a technical perspective, the boat is equipped with four MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines rated at 2,600 HP each, coupled with waterjet propulsion which delivers excellent performance at both the top speed of 35 knots and the cruising speed of 30 knots.
