Original solutions for a dream boat

jeudi 1 mai 2003

Navetta, mon amour. Personalisation, maximum attention to detail, passion and desire to
experience life reaches the highest point in the Navetta 30#08, and reflects the owner’s wishes
who together with the staff at CRN have worked on the finer points of the décor. The Present
and the Past, East and West, cold materials and warm colours: it lives these contrasts and
different styles, culture and time span have come together to baptise this mega yacht in the
line as "Navetta". Soft lines and floral décor, which have been inspired by Art Deco, run
through the various cabins and to this harmonious union add new fabrics and new forms in
order to achieve a fusion of soft and rigid lines which alternate with antique and modern
elements. Refined and elegant is the atmosphere, which predominates in the interiors and
exteriors, within the frame of the impressive blue hull. This jewel of the sea, which is the fruit
of the shipyard’s technical staff and Studio Zuccon International Project, can easily
accommodate nine guests and four crewmembers. The entrance to the main salon, covering
most of the main deck, is awe-inspiring. The owner preferred a layout where the owner’s suite
is situated on the lower deck and a large dining area adjacent to the salon on the main deck.
The sofas are in beige, red and green and the armchairs are bright geometric and floral fabrics.
The bar in the salon is customised thanks to the use of an antique wrought iron gate with
green chrome inlays and a mirrored top. The use of mirrors, fitted in black frames can be
found positioned in the ceiling of the elegant dining area, and can also be seen in various areas
of the vessel. Red is the dominant colour of the richly embossed hand woven fabrics inspired
original Venetian designs dated late 1800s, used for the dining room table chairs. The
rectangular dining table, which is also an antique item was bought from a dealer in London,
and can seat eight guests. The owner wanted to create a new area to separate the sitting room
from the dining room and to use it as a study and computer room. One of the four works of art
created by the artist "Vittoria Vanghelis" especially for this vessel can be found in this area.
Oriental prints and Japanese statues sit alongside forms and materials, which are typical of the
Deco style. The super accessorised and personalised galley thanks to the use of highly glossed
maple, and a blue decorated border around the floor which reflects the kitchen work tops, is
forward of the vessel. A completely different style in pastel shades and romantic tones,
however refined, can be seen throughout the lower deck. The owner’s suite, situated at the
stern of the lower deck and reflects a poetical theme. It is decorated in the owner’s favourite
colours, pink and green. The large mirror, which is fitted over the owner’s bed, as well as
being a precious item is at the same time delicate, has been created by the Maestri Vetrai of
Murano. Personal and original choices are part of the character in the guest cabins set aside for
the owner’s sons. The predominant colours of blue and bordeaux can also be seen in the
leather "capitonne" headboards. The bright VIP cabin situated forward completes the lower
deck. The wheelhouse and panoramic lounge are situated on the upper deck. Even here the
shipyard has been able to fulfil the owner’s special requests by fitting a carpet instead of teak
flooring. A functional and modern style live side by side in this area, which can be considered a
real drawing room on the sea made even more comfortable by the freestanding sofas. The
desire to spend time in pleasant company overlooking the sea has influenced the owner’s
choice of a wicker top, sofa and sunbathing area situated aft. This means that a fourth deck
has been created and this solution could be a proposal for other vessels in this line.
The Navetta is powered by two MAN 12v 1300 HP engines that allow the vessel to reach a
maximum speed of 19 knots and a cruising speed of 16.5 knots. A true example of luxury can
cross all of the oceans.
