"WATCHIT SENSE 360" adds a third level of protection to WATCHIT SENSE: radar detection for complete 360° awareness around the yacht, thanks to integration with Simrad displays and latest-generation HALO radar systems.
Forlì, September 23, 2026 – Four years on from the introduction of “WATCHIT”, the anti-collision system that marked a turning point for safety at sea, Ferretti Group announces its exclusive adoption of “WATCHIT SENSE 360”, the new generation of the system introduced by Aqua Marina Tech, an Israeli company that develops and supplies cutting-edge technological solutions for life-saving innovation in the marine industry.
The first generation of “WATCHIT” revolutionised safety on board by cross-referencing digital charts with position and course data, while the subsequent integration of AIS (Automatic Identification System) technology extended collision-avoidance awareness to maritime traffic in the surrounding area.
Today, “WATCHIT SENSE 360” adds a crucial third level of protection: radar detection. Integration with the Simrad multifunction displays and HALO radar systems already on board allows the new system to detect vessels, buoys, floating objects and obstacles that would otherwise go undetected by AIS monitoring alone, such as vessels without on-board equipment or with their AIS switched off. Advanced software continuously monitors the level of risk and generates clear and timely visual and audible alerts only when a genuine hazard is detected, operating in the background and without ever distracting the skipper or crew.
