The 100% Italian passion, innovation, and excellence of the brands of the Ferretti Group will also be the protagonists of the exhibition “Histories of the sea industry”, located within an “historical” area of the Boat Show, where some of the most exclusive models, which are pieces of the history of the Italian nautical sector, will be on display. The unique craftsmanship of the brand Riva, on the occasion of its 170th anniversary, will be celebrated through some of the models which are the symbol of the shipyard around the world:the Lancetta, one of the first models designed by Carlo Riva in the 50's, the Sebino, dating back to 1954, the first inboard motorboat by Riva built for serial production, the Ariston, the runabout preferred by Mr. Riva, set as a status symbol by the movie “Mambo”, in which the beautiful Silvana Mangano was speeding together with Vittorio Gassman, and the Aquarama, the legendary motorboat which has been on the crest of a wave since 1962, here on display with two hulls. The exhibition is made even more interesting by the Mochi Craft Waichichi, a wood hull dating back to 1962, and a scale model of the M/Y CRN F100, the 33 meter maxi yacht of the Agnelli family, built in 1963.
The Ferretti is therefore confirming the absolute quality of the design and construction of its models even on the occasion of this edition of the International Boat Show of Genoa, displaying its 44 years of history, supported by the competitive advantage achieved through the strategic partnership with Weichai, one of the leading industrial groups in China. The Group aims at a further growth in the settled markets of America and Europe, and in the emerging ones, with a special focus on the Asia-Pacific Area, one of the most interesting regions in terms of development opportunities for the nautical sector. In this area, the distribution of crafts produced in Italy will be further increased.
