ITAMA AND MOCHI CRAFT OPEN DAYS: A WHOLE WEEKEND DEVOTED TO BOATING

vendredi 25 mai 2012

Santa Margherita Ligure, 21st May 2012 – Itama and Mochi Craft Open Days were held last Saturday and Sunday in Santa Margherita Ligure - a magnificent setting for this spellbinding event organised by the Ferretti Group to introduce their customers and enthusiasts alike to the Group’s leading models.

During the weekend all guests had the opportunity to step onboard Itama’s open yachts and Mochi Craft’s lobster boats against the wonderful backdrop of the Ligurian Riviera. Numerous sea trials were performed on Itama’s and Mochi Craft’s fleets, to the delight of the many sea lovers that gathered in Santa Margherita.

More specifically, Itama presented the boatyard’s two most recent crafts, Itama 45’ and Itama 62’ - which were officially launched at Cannes and Genoa 2011 Boat Shows - as well as the fleet’s flagship, the Itama 75’.

Itama 45’ is the contemporary evolution of the famous Itama Forty. Style, elegance and a sporty character - the best DNA of the brand - have blended together in this model, over thirteen metres in length, that is bound to triumphantly step into Itama’s history. Itama 62’, in turn, is characterised by a modern design, optimised layout and very bright interiors, and, while preserving the brand’s classic lines and features, stands out for its distinctive sporty, aggressive look.

The Open Days would not have been the same without the Itama 75’, the fleet’s flagship, which combines extraordinary habitability, the use of innovative materials and technologies, and a slender profile that perfectly reflects this yacht’s sporty character.

Mochi Craft added its unmistakable, colourful touch to the Ligurian landscape with two different models representing the Dolphin line: Dolphin 44’, the smallest yacht in the range, and the flagship, Dolphin 74’ Cruiser.

The Dolphin 44’ embraces all of the brand’s dynamic, stylish, sporty, strong personality in its 13 metres. The distinctive colours of the hull, including a beautiful coral shade, perfectly match the luxury of the fine materials used for the interiors, resulting in a very stylish concept of cruising that goes hand with hand with impressive flexibility. The wish to reinterpret traditional lobster boats - the symbol of marine culture - is also at the very heart of the brand's flagship, the Dolphin 74' Cruiser: refined, stylish design and innovative functional solutions join together in this new-generation lobster boat designed by architect Brunello Acampora of Studio Victory Design and meant to embody and new concept of onboard liveability.

The event could also rely on important partnerships: Lancome presented some make-up and face treatment products; Cantine Ferrari's tasting sessions allowed all guests to savour its Perlè; and Philips Saeco introduced its Xelsis and Intelia One Touch Cappuccino Metal coffee machines.

Giuseppe Mazza, Itama’s Brand Manager, commented: “The Open Days are key events for Itama and the Ferretti Group as a whole, because they offer the perfect setting to meet our customers in a laid-back, informal atmosphere. For Itama these days were an excellent opportunity to let our customers try out the two new models that we presented last autumn".

Alessandro Tirelli, Mochi Craft’s Brand Manager, added: "The success of these initiatives, which give us a chance to meet in person with many lovers of pleasure boating and of Mochi Craft in particular, confirms the public's constant interest for our fleet's models, which are true icons of timeless style and elegance".
