Ferretti Yachts, historical brand of the Ferretti Group which produced flybridge motoryachts measuring 15 to 27 metres, presents the new Ferretti 500 as a preview in Genoa. The yacht has been designed with the aim of offering Owners even greater comfort by means of targeted solutions.
This model was developed through the working relationship between Studio Zuccon International Project, the AYT Advanced Yacht Technology, the Ferretti Groups naval research and design centre, and the team of architects and designers at the Centro Stile Ferrettigroup Ferretti 500 is the re-examination of the famous Ferretti 470, one of the bestsellers in the Ferretti Yachts entry level range, and further develops the balance between exterior and interior space. This is clear from the extension of the cockpit surface to increase the liveability of the environment and in the work carried out on the interior dcor, which gives a renewed sense of contemporary classicism, in line with the entire range.
Externally, the soaring, sporty profile of the previous model has been maintained, to which four large windows have been added on the lower deck, the area reserved for guests. Moreover, there are two large windows with portholes which can be opened at bow, bringing natural light into the master cabin, whilst two oval windows with twin portholes light the guest cabins.
Ferretti 500 measures over 15 metres in length and almost 5 metres in width. As with Ferretti 470, Ferretti Yachts chose to maintain some of the strong points of the models of the entry level range on board Ferretti 500, with unique solutions which further optimise onboard space. The clearest example of this is theposition of the stern galley, which guarantees even better liveability. Indeed, a single open space comprising the cockpit, galley and living area can be created by opening the swinging window.
Onboard the Ferretti 500, the atmosphere is particularly welcoming, with the warm teka gold wood and light coming through the large windows. The perfectly equipped galley, positioned astern, is on the left and designed for Owners who use their yachts firsthand. Continuing along, a large, deep, corner divan is equipped with an extendible table, seating up to 6 people. Opposite, there is a low unit with doors, the television unit and a second divan with double seating.
The driving position, located on the left, allows perfect visibility thanks to its raised position and large windows. Instead, on the right, a charting unit features a number of lockers and drawers.
The night area is organised with three cabins: the master cabin, at bow, with two large wardrobes and a private head, and two twins, with twin beds and a shared head fitted with a shower. Natural light filters through the portholes which can be opened, developed to guarantee greater onboard comfort.
Organisation of the space on board Ferretti 500 satisfies the demands of a clientele that loves spending time on their yachts with their families. Should the Owner decide there is to be a crew onboard, Ferretti 500 can be equipped with another cabin astern, otherwise used as a stowage area.
The flying bridge, which can be accessed from the cockpit, does not have roll bar. It features a spacious sun lounge with a large sun deck located towards stern, a large divan with table, and a grill area and bimini top for creating shaded areas, on request. Another sundeck is located at bow on the main deck.
ENGINES AND PERFORMANCE
Ferretti 500 is fitted with twin Cummins QSC 8.3 600mhp engines which push the yacht to a cruise speed of 27 knots and a top speed of 30 (preliminary data).
