Ferretti 510: the new dimension of luxury in worldwide preview

10 июля 2007 г.

Ferretti Yachts presents in worldwide preview, at the Festival International de la Plaisance, the new revolutionary Ferretti 510, designed with the ambitious mission to redefine the standards of the 50 feet flying bridge segment, and to win over a younger and more dynamic target clientele.

"With the Ferretti 510 we aspire to redefine the “rules†of the 50/60-foot segment, whilst innovating the “low†range of Ferretti Yachts fleet. We have great commercial expectations for this model, also for the USA, Middle East, and Asia Pacific, China included†said Fulvio Dodich, General Manager of Ferretti Yachts, Mochi Craft and Custom Line. “We have the objective of winning over a growing and emerging new “happy few†market target, made of young and dynamic people, aged in their 40s, extremely demanding and with no desire to accept compromises in terms of prestige, quality, comfort and performance."

The new Ferretti 510 is a project strongly desired and designed by Norberto Ferretti, President of the Ferretti Group, with the consolidated partnership between the Ferretti Group Engineering Division and the Studio Zuccon International Project. With its compact size, 16 metres long by almost 5 metres wide, it makes it possible to live the great Italian luxury and to cruise while indulging in a unknown comfort to this market segment until now.

Among the revolutionary new features: full beam master cabin with a chaise longue and an open-view window, a real suite at sea level swathed in light, with the shades of teak gold wood; the living area, thanks to the up-and-over window in the stern, makes it possible to create an open space including the salon, the cockpit, the kitchen/bar and the dining area without interruptions. Lastly, the sky lounge without roll bar and the spoiler allow the 510 to sport a dynamic, yet very elegant, line.

The streamlined and aggressive design of the hull is characterised by the huge size of the side windows allowing for a 360 degrees view, meaning that the living area is extremely light and airy. This effect is enhanced by the use of warm woods, which contribute to creating a very elegant environment, a classic with a contemporary twist.

On board, the fully fitted kitchen is positioned in the stern on the right, designed for owners who love cruising their yacht by themselves. On the left there's a cupboard and a large and deep corner sofa with a tall, extending coffee table, able to seat up to 6 people. On the right, across the kitchen, there's another two-seater sofa and the steps leading up to the flying bridge. The helm offers perfect visibility thanks to its raised position and its large windows.

The night zone features solutions normally adopted in larger crafts, such as the possibility to have three cabins, two with a double bed and one with twin beds, thus meeting the requirements of ship owners who love to spend time onboard with friends. Should you wish to have a crew, the Ferretti 510 can be fitted with an additional cabin in the stern, which can alternatively be used as a storage area.

The master cabin has been positioned in the stern, covering the total width of the hull. It has its own private bathroom and large wardrobe. The inclusion of the large open-view window with opening portholes is a major step forward in the optimisation of the space, making the 510 the equal of considerably larger crafts. For the other guests on board, the Ferretti 510 offers a double cabin in the bow, and a twin cabin with shared shower room.

For the outdoor life, the Ferretti 510 makes it possible to enjoy the sun to the full on the large flying bridge sun deck. This deck is free from roll bars and is fitted with tops to create shady zones. The flying bridge hosts an additional helm. Conviviality is guaranteed thanks to the large table with 8-seater L-shaped sofa, completed with a grill area.

As far as the engines are concerned, the Ferretti 510 alternatively offers 2 MAN motors of 730 HP or 800 HP, both allowing for a maximum speed over 30 knots.
