The new Riva convertible wins the award for “Best Exterior Design” in the 50-80 foot category.

Yet another award is added to an already glittering list of awards, yet another yacht is set to expand the gallery of successes achieved by Riva, a nautical legend for over 170 years.

At its world debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2016, 76’ Bahamas, the new model built at the Ferretti Group's shipyard in La Spezia, won the “World Yachts Trophies” award for “Best Exterior Design” in the 50 to 80 foot range category.

The new convertible yacht has been created on the same hull platform of the 76’ Perseo coupe, and is fitted with the renowned “Convertible Top” system, the exclusive Ferretti Group patent first featured on the 88’ Florida.

Joining the two best sellers, launched in September last year and both winners of the “World Yachts Trophies” 2015, is now the 76’ Bahamas, with a recognition that confirms the position achieved by Riva in recent years as a leader of innovation.

The 76’ Bahamas - product of collaboration between Officina Italiana Design, the Ferretti Group’s Product Strategy Committee and its Engineering Department - combines the two souls of the open and coupe versions into a single model, offering a yacht of irresistible beauty featuring cutting-edge technology solutions. A masterpiece of nautical design that has already conquered the public and commentators alike.

The “World Yachts Trophies”, organized by the French nautical magazine “Yachts France”, is the first contest in the new nautical year and the ideal occasion to celebrate all the new models and innovations exhibited by yacht builders on the French Riviera. The awards ceremony was held on the Plage of the Intercontinental Carlton Hotel as part of the closing events of the Cannes Yachting Festival, and was followed by the new yachts parade in front of the famous Croisette, where Riva chose to show its second new model at the world premiere on the French Riviera: the speedboat Rivamare, already a cult object for brand enthusiasts worldwide.
