The story of FERRETTI YACHTS began over thirty years ago in 1968, when two brothers, Alessandro and Norberto Ferretti, founded their shipyard. Today they are world leaders in the construction of luxury motor yachts ranging from 46 to 88 feet (14.35 - 27 metres).
This has been a story crowned by many successes, built on passion, professionalism and a wide experience of the industry. In the 1990's Norberto Ferretti, currently chairman of the Ferretti Group, took part in offshore racing, winning the world championships in 1994 and 1997. Today FERRETTI YACHTS is the head company in the Group which numbers in its ranks top brands in world yachts such as Pershing, Bertram, Riva, Apreamare, Mochi Craft, Custom Line and CRN.
Thanks to the experience and technological research carried out, FERRETTI YACHTS, an absolute specialist in fibre-glass flybridge motor yachts with an open upper deck and dual internal and external controls, has become a cult brand for motor yacht lovers and a new icon of Italian-made luxury worldwide.
The range is broad and diverse, a perfect balance of futuristic technologies and nautical traditions. Every year FERRETTI YACHTS reinforces its dominant position in a rapidly developing market increasingly oriented towards excellence. Today the company's business is more international than ever: a significant percentage of its sales are in Italy, but the constantly growing foreign markets (key areas Europe, Middle East, the US and the Far East) are served by a growing network of 34 high quality dealers to date. During 2003, under the guidance of CEO Fulvio Dodich, FERRETTI YACHTS recorded a turnover of € 139.2 million, and in the 2002-2003 nautical year the Group recorded consolidated revenues of around € 385 million with a portfolio of orders as at 29th February 2004 worth in excess of € 600 million for the coming financial years.
FERRETTI YACHTS employ around 500 people and have 4 shipyards. As well as the shipyards in Forlì (the main yard), Faro (AN) and San Giovanni in Marignano (RN) and to meet growing demand, a new shipyard has recently been opened in Cattolica (RN). The yard is 14,000 square metres, and it is an example of the most modern shipbuilding technology in the world.
FERRETTI YACHTS is able to produce 100 perfectly crafted yachts a year. The company is planning a gradual increase in production. Its use of modern techniques to optimise resources means it is possible to build several different models from the range at the same time and still meet delivery times.
The careful design that characterises every Ferretti yacht is the result of the experience and enthusiasm of over 60 specialist professionals, who belong to the Engineering vision.
