TECHNOLOGY GOES FAST

Three are the fundamental pillars of Pershing’s primacy: design (which introduced
even more ingenious elements of functionality), lightweight construction, and technolo-
gy applied to controlling and piloting.
Focusing on the latter, Pershing has always been known for the use of surface propel-
lers, fundamental for speeds over 40 knots. Operating in a mixed water and air regime,
they overcome the limits of cavitation and eliminate the resistance of submerged pro-
pulsion. Despite these advantages, however, they are more difficult to use, especially
when maneuvering in ports or in daily practice. This is why Pershing models introduced
a solution designed to assist the owner. The Easy Set control automatically optimizes the
incidence of the drives with respect to the water, guaranteeing the necessary thrust at a
precise moment, minimizing fuel consumption, and optimizing the trim of the vessel on
the water’s surface.
This technology level is complemented by a steer control for surface drives that ro-

lic control is implemented in an intelligent and rather sophisticated way.
The introduction of an advanced Joystick means that this high-performance vessel can
be piloted in total comfort. The possibility of using the autonomous driving function
transforms the Pershing into a yacht capable of maneuvering, berthing, and avoiding ob-
stacles by itself.
