Sara Errani was left alone, after a sporting divorce from Roberta
Vinci and a case of doping that ended in her acquittal after
a short suspension. She had to rebuild the final steps of her
career. Paolini was an eternal promise that just wouldn’t break
out. Perhaps, Errani’s experience would give her the missing
ingredient. So it went. The two parallel roads met. Errani-Paolini
has become, in time, almost a slogan.
