Ferretti 681: luxury according to Ferretti Yachts

2005年10月17日

Ferretti 681 revisits the Ferretti 680, a very successful model that was produced in 68 units. Now the outer profile of this yacht has been rendered more aggressive by redesigning the deck windows, which have been prolonged towards the bow, and by adding to the owner's cabin huge open-view windows, which have become a distinctive trait of Ferretti Yachts.
Designed thanks to the collaboration between Studio Zuccon International Project and the Ferretti Group Engineering Division, this 21 metres long flying bridge, adopts stylistic solution for an optimised use of the space available. A large cockpit, with a folding bench and a teak table for up to 8 people, leads both to the interior of the lounge, via a sliding door topped by a hinged window, and to the crew's quarters. Entering the lounge the impression one gets is that of a totally new boat, thanks to the new stylistic approach, which has redefined the lines of the furnishings and the sofas, and the lavish use of teak, which creates a cosy, home-like comfortable atmosphere. The lounge has a living zone on the starboard side, furnished with an armchair, a small table and an L-shaped sofa, from where people can sit and watch a 26" LCD television rested on a cabinet that contains a fridge.

From the living area, two steps lead to the pilot bridge and the dinette. On the Ferretti 681, the helmsman's station has been optimised by arranging all the instrumentation on a single level, to make it more rational, easier to reach, and, thanks to the coal grey paintwork and special scratch-proof texture of the material, more modern. To the right of the pilot bridge, the dinette contains an L-shaped leather covered sofa and a table for up to 8 people. The stairs leading to the fly bridge run along the topside so as not to hinder in any way the view of the lounge towards the bow. Across from the dining area we find the galley - that can be concealed by means of a sliding door - furnished with an Africa black granite top and a ceramic glass cooktop with combined oven. A sliding door divides this area from the pilot bridge to enable the crew to reach the galley and the pilot bridge via the hatchway, without disturbing the guests.

Below the deck, a central aisle leads to the two guest cabins with twin beds. One of the cabins is now wide enough to accommodate the beds in L formation and make the interior space more comfortable. The toilet annexed to the two cabins can be accessed from the aisle and it also serves as a service toilet.

The VIP cabin astern features a double bed, two large closets, a dedicated toilet with teak flooring and marble washbasins. Further on towards the stern we find the owner's cabin that has been totally redesigned: now the bed faces the stern, and a semicircular sofa makes it possible to enjoy the view of the sea via a big high window fitted with two opening portholes for the ventilation of the rooms. Next to the sofa, a walk-in closet is fitted with an internal mirror. The table on the opposite wall, under the big window, has a sliding top so that it can be used as a writing desk or a vanity table. On either side of the table, two symmetrical closets provide ample room for personal belongings. The toilet, with shower, features teak flooring and marble tops.

The flying bridge of the Ferretti 681 has been equipped with a comfortable dining zone, fitted with a revolving table and a circular sofa. Two large sun lounges, one forward, with a double chaise longue, and one aft. Behind the helmsman's station, which is equipped with a three-seater sofa and disappearing instrument panel, we find the fridge area and the grill. The fly bridge can accommodate a water motorbike, while the tender is housed in the fore bridge and can contain a two-seater jet ski.

The cabin for the crew can be reached from the wide cockpit. It is equipped with two bunk beds and a toilet.

Powered by a MAN 1224 or 1360 engine, the Ferretti 681 features a cruising speed of 32 knots and a top speed of 36 knots.
