Ferretti Group modern production units respond to the criteria of the most advanced international shipbuilding standards, combining production efficiency with top quality detail, guaranteed by the artisan work carried out during the various stages of production.
In particular, the nautical poles of La Spezia (in Liguria) and Ancona (in Marche) are of strategic importance.
The new production pole of La Spezia began operating in 2004, and has a role of strategic and industrial, but also social and environmental, importance.
The shipyard is Ferretti Group’s most significant, most important reference point for technical, logistic and commercial support in the basin of the Ligurian Sea and High Tyrrhenian.
Developed according to the most advanced construction and production techniques from the productive and commercial points of view, the shipyard stretches out over a total surface area of more than 60,000 m², of which 12,000 m² are covered. It comprises industrial facilities and office buildings, as well as wharfs and landing stages set out over around 400 metres, served by a 400 tonne, tyred travel-lift.
Besides a fundamental area for production activities, this modern facility, expression of the most advanced international shipbuilding standards, is also the most important centre for testing, placing in the water and delivering Ferretti Group yachts to clients. Assistance and port services are also offered to clients of all group brands at this facility.
The Ancona shipyard stretches out over a surface area of approximately 81,000m², of which about 35,000 m² are covered, and sports craft measuring up to 85 metres can be built here.
This ‘multi-brand’ pole is dedicated to the construction of the entire CRN fleet, as well as some Custom Line and Riva craft, and is one of the largest production facilities in Europe. Over the past few years it has been involved in an ambitious project for restructuring the operative areas, offices and infrastructures.
Outside, a door on the Adriatic opens opposite the Ancona facility. A unique area, and true wealth of the shipyard, is the stretch of water just in front of it, currently a small private tourist port with three wharfs measuring 100, 80 and 40 metres, used for fitting out and completing megayachts and providing support for all Ferretti Group brands.
The shipyard features a 120 metre slipway, which can be used for launching megayachts measuring up to 85 metres. Maxiyachts in composite material measuring 40 metres and weighing 220 tonnes, on the other hand, are launched in the travel-lift, also used to haul craft requiring testing.
Construction of a new, modern building was recently completed too, measuring 95 metres in length, 28 in width and 25 in height. This technologically advanced structure is equipped with extraction and compressed air equipment, technical gas centralisation, thermal and power plants, and two bridge cranes for handling materials on board.
